CBG

VTARA has worked on several Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) – biomethane production and utilization projects, in consultation with several universities, on new methods for increasing the efficiency of anaerobic digestion systems for biomethane production.

Hydrogen

Our proposed facilities for a hydrogen (H2) production at NER and MUL would also include hydrogen refueling stations for vehicles. There are multiple items to consider when installing hydrogen stations, including fire protection, risk assessment and safety, electrical connections, access and accessibility.

Projects

BioRefinery Hub - NER, Maharasthra

VTARA Energy Group is developing an Integrated BioRefinery Hub at the NER Industrial Estate, Yavatmal District, Maharashtra, India, focused on the production of Compressed Biogas (CBG), second-generation (2G) ethanol, and advanced biofuels for integration into India’s transportation and logistics fuel mix.
The facility is designed to reduce reliance on imported fuels by converting locally sourced biomass into clean, cost-effective energy solutions. In addition to renewable fuels, the BioRefinery Hub will produce bio-chemicals and other high-value co-products, supporting circular economy outcomes, regional economic development, and long-term sustainability.
BioRefinery Hub - MUR, Maharasthra

VTARA Energy Group is developing an Integrated BioRefinery Hub at MUL, Maharashtra, designed to produce Compressed Biogas (CBG), 2G Ethanol, and advanced biofuels for blending into India’s existing transportation and logistics fuel mix.
The MUL BioRefinery Hub will play a critical role in reducing India’s reliance on imported fossil fuels by converting local biomass into clean, domestically produced energy solutions—delivering both cost efficiencies and energy security.
Beyond renewable fuels, the facility will also manufacture bio-chemicals and high-value co-products, supporting circular economy outcomes, regional economic development, and long-term environmental sustainability.
CBG Plant – Darwha, Maharashtra

VTARA Energy Group is establishing a Compressed Biogas (CBG) production facility at the Darwha Industrial Estate, Yavatmal District, Maharashtra, India, to supply CBG for use in the transportation and logistics sector. The project will support India’s transition to cleaner energy by displacing imported fossil fuels, delivering cost efficiencies, and strengthening domestic energy security.
VTARA has extensive experience in the development and deployment of CBG (biomethane) production and utilisation projects. The Group has collaborated with leading universities and technical partners to advance next-generation anaerobic digestion technologies, focusing on improving system efficiency and optimising biomethane yields.
CBG Plant – Gadchiroli, Maharashtra

VTARA Energy Group is establishing a Compressed Biogas (CBG) production facility at the Gadchiroli Industrial Estate, Gadchiroli District, Maharashtra, India, to supply renewable CBG for use in the transportation and logistics sector. The project will contribute to reducing India’s dependence on imported fossil fuels, delivering cost efficiencies while strengthening domestic energy security.
